Christian Dior

I havent’t ever looked into Christian Dior as a clothing designer before – purely becasue the Dior brand has always been slighty tainted for me since I went through my cringe worthy stage of faux L.V / Burberry / Dior pleather wallets and handbags about 5 odd years ago … yikes!

Anyway – i recently spotted a photo of a beautiful dress and after some reasearch i discovered it was in fact Christian Dior Spring 09 RTW … this was exciting for me and my eyes!!

Here are a few pieces i thought were extra beautiful – not particularly my style the way it has been put together – but i can just imagine the amazing sheer skirts teams wih finely knitted tee’s and sneakers and maybe taking the belts of the dresses and toning the whole look down with a cardi and some of these gorgeous Phillip Lim shoes.

The full length dresses speak for themselves and would only be worn on the right occasion obviously! All in all i’m loving it and am going to check this out more often as i think Johny.G is on to something here!

k bye!

Cool book about Marc Jacobs path to becoming one of worlds most recognizable and ground breaking fashion designers.
“Marc Jacobs, from whiz-kid extraordinaire to international fashion superstar”

paaaaash – on for faash – on

ah, i find myself more and more addicted to buying, thinking about, talking about and obsessing over clothing and fabric.

Some certain looks i am into at the moment –

–  soft pink,  grey marl, fine, slinky or chunky   knits, red, leather, spark, soft cotton – calico, oversized jackets – floppy lapelles, heavy silk satin, cropped trousers, small singlets, small sneakers ,ballerina inspired anything, tan/camel/biscuit, lace – cotton lace mostly, angora, stripes silk shirts etc etc… the list would go on but it would get silly.

I am moving (finally!) into my own place so am going to start more sewing and get a bit more creative with my existing clothing as i figure i will have more room to now… this is all so exciting!!!
