I was very saddened to hear of Michael Jackson’s death the other day and although his personal life had been increasingly controversial and sad,  his career in the music world was a wonderful thing. He was passionate about “healing the world” and “making it a better place” – we were told by M.J to “start with the man in the mirror” to change what most would perceive as wrong but often ignore. And even though he has been infamous for the colour of his skin he spoke out and made it clear that i doesn’t matter if  you “black or white”!

I seriously loved Michael Jackson’s music and really hope that he is remembered for his talents and caring and soft nature rather than the controversy that surrounded him throughout his life.

A troubled soul thats can now rest …

Kate and Laura Mulleavy founded Rodarte in the fall of 2005. They have received a number of awards in the fashion industry since then.

Rodarte is now stocked around the world in retailers such as Barney’s, Neiman Marcus, Dover street Market and Podium.

Their work is incredibly beautiful and creative … i hope to one day own some of their pieces.

I have recently remembered Pippi Longstockings and how amazing she is! Her full name is Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim’s Daughter Longstocking…

Her story has always made me slightly sad and homesick – i think because she never has a Mother and her Dad gets lost at sea and even though they reunite eventually she decides to live in her house (Villa Villekulla) with only her monkey and her horse while he goes back to his boat. In sayying that the story always made me feel adventurous and i used to look up to her not only because she was super strong and cheeky but because of her amazing pigtails and stripey knee highs! She is the ultimate tomboy and i love her for that!
